Carpal Prosthetic
- A carpal prosthetic is for patients amputated at the carpal level, that still have their medial and lateral process left intact along with the distal ends of the ulna and radial bones.
- The distal ends of the long bones provide an ideal weight bearing surface for the forces to be transmitted through, and the lateral and medial process provide a hour glass shape with the distal end providing a bulbous shape, this combination will allow for suspension of the prosthetic through a suction suspension.
