Function

  • The Hip Orthotic provides mechanical stability to the hip joints.  
  • Controlling subluxating (partial dislocation) or luxation (dislocation).
  • Controlled range of motion within the hip joint using mechanical joints.
  • Allows for increased stability of the hip, allowing for a good stance position giving better leg movement and control while walking.

Fabrication

  • Mechanical joint.
  • Vacuum formed thermoplastic.
  • Lined with orthopedic foam.
  • Harness strapping system for optimal suspension. Controlling migration of the orthosis when the canine is active.

Options

  • Can be combined with stifle, and/or  tarsal, and/or paw orthoses.
